Carving Cup arrives to Bondone

Friday 8 January 10th - Saturday and Sunday 9th
and 10th of January 2010, on the snows of Monte Bondone,
the Fis Carving Cup will celebrate the second stage of the
circuit.
The stage of Mont Bondone now became a classic one of the
Buoyes Circuit, its one of the most spectacular of the whole
Cup, thanks to the features of the track Palon, where the
swiss tracer Mauro Robustelli will have the possibility
to position waves and jumps.
This year the show will be even more exciting thanks to
the new speciality of the Speed carving, where the athletes
run by the buoyes with raised speed. The differences to
the traditional test of the slalom carving are the following:
its not tactical and the result of competition is given
alone from the chronometric time.
On Saturday the program will be composed as follows: the
slalom with two set of qualification and at end the grand
final with the top ten, while the Speed will take place
on Sunday. At the moment the leader are the italian Thomas
Bergamelli and the swiss Melanie Bürgener, followed
respectively from the brother Giancarlo and from Stefania
Burba, capable to arrive second in the slalom and third
in the Speed of Sestriere.
The stage of Monte Bondone will show if, after the success
of the general cup of the past year, the hegemony of Melanie
Bürgener will still go on. And if the swiss Renè
Stössel, winner of the slalom of Sestriere will succeed
to get fixed also in the Speed, going to take again the
red leader bip. Between the teams the challenge is open
between Gianluca Grigolettos Colmar Team and Stöckli/RTC
of Stoessel and Buergener, with Texcart Team strong of Mark
De Martin and Emanuele Bagatti, ready to insert itself between
the first two teams. The price for each competition,besides
the points of the general listings and of speciality, is
also a jackpot of 9,500 euro.
Beyond the competitive appearance, the carving cup offers
to the public also a promotional village. Near the arrival
of the racetrack Palon. In Vason starting from Saturday
morning the test drive area of the new suv Renault Koloes
will be open. The animation will be organised from R101
with the radio speaker Dario Desi. The HAPPY CARVING SHOW
will take place in Vason on saturday evening.
The italian association Skiman will offer to all those who
will come to the assistance point , a preparation of the
own ski with a close report of what was done.
The competition will be transmitted from Sky Sport 2 at
12.40 next Friday and then repeated other times in the course
of the week.
The contest is also valid for the Coppa Italia. Athletes
can register themselves, sending an email to info@carvingcup.com.
All the Fisi athletes of the categories Children, Young
and Seniores. The Coppa Italia, expects only two runs, which
will be added to establish the final ranking.
