ALLEGRO CARVING EUROPEAN CHALLENGE 2010
A lot of medals for Italy in the European Championship of carving which have be disputed past saturday and sunday in Zakopane (Poland).

Sunday 21 march 10th
- Thomas and Giancarlo Bergamelli gained gold and silver in the speed and in the slalom. Giancarlo started as first in the fastest competition, winning against the brother and banishing Gianluca Grigoletto to the bronze. On ladies front the swiss Melanie Bürgener was able to win on Martina Giunti which reached the second place before Stefania Burba, capable to get the bronze to the very good polnish athlet Justyna Januszek. In the slalom carving Thomas had not rival in the final set , he won on Giancarlo for 30 hundredths of seconds, while the swiss Ivan Eggenberger got the bronze of Grigoletto, victim of a technical problem before the start. No problems for Martina Giunti which won on Stefania Burba. Little unluck for Giorgia Bortolotti which loose the third place because of a mistake and so Carolina Klimek got bronze. Melanie Bürgener, which was sick, was not able to go beyond the fifth place.

Between the teams the Colmar with this other victory has now two points of advantage on the Texcart. While the Stöckli seems now cut outside for the final victory.

The 6th and 7th of March there will take place the stage in Abetone and the big final of Sauze d' Oulx will take place on 13th and 14th of March. If Thomas Bergamelli will get good results on Abetones stage, he will be sure to gain again the Championship. Between the ladies the figh is still open, even if Martina Giunti at now has 95 points of advantage on the Bürgener and of 140 on Stefania Burba.
