Exhibition Race in Auron France. Merlin and Grigoletto special guests
Auron, beautiful ski resort on the french alps, just an hour from Nizza, will host on saturday and sunday, march 6th and 7th 2009 a promotional carving competition.

This is the idea of Guy Cassouto, FIS Tecnical Delegate , who, after living the carving experience as a referee, wanted to bring this discipline also on his slopes. The local ski club will organize the event on saturday evening for 36 men and 16 women, with two qualifying runs and the final of the top 10 and top 5. Special guests the new World Champions Alessandra Merlin and Gianluca Grigoletto.

The track will be designed by the official FIS course setter Mauro Robustelli and the timekeeping will be done by Eco Time.

This is not the first time for the Fis Carving Cup in France. In 2000 in Les Menuires, on the olympic slalom slope in Albertville a cup race has been organized by Marc Hudri, director of the Club Du Sport.
