Sestriere ‚ Sunday, march 25 2007: It is quite difficult to believe that on march 25 a race could be cancelled for too much snow, after this season without any. You should have been at Sestriere this morning to understand that the winter finally started. Half a meter of fresh snow on the Giovanni Alberto Agnelli obliged the jury to cancel the semifinal and final run scheduled for today. Following to the rules, in this case, the result of the qualifying run yesterday, that already fixed the cup winner for this season, becomes official.

The leader Thomas Bergamelli, who wore the red bib because of his 4 points advantage couldn't finish neither the first, nor the second run. A broken binding let him loose his ski twice. That is how Gianluca Grigoletto, already after these two runs became the owner of the crystal cup. Completely different the situation in the women's ranking, even if Alessandra Merlin's 60 points advantage put her in a relatively safe position. In fact she won also this Saturday, leaving the second place to the swiss Melanie Buergener.

A broad smiling Francesca Deambrogio seems to have overcome the spell that seemed to condemn her on the 4th place, stepping finally up on the podium this time. It was a triumph for Switzerland in the men's ranking. RenČ Stoessel finished in first, Simon Baer in third position. The Italian colors have been defended by Simone Arfino's second place, whereas Gianluca Grigoletto, who never became friends with the course here in Sestriere, arrived only sixth. This victory lets RenČ overcome Aaron Nider in the general ranking, arriving third.

The unofficial Under 21 ranking was won by Francesca Deambrogio, ahead of the two Slovenian athletes Ana Teuc and Vanja Celigoj. The men's trophy was given to Tommaso Bartolini, with a large advantage on Miha Groselj (SLO) and Stefano Grigoletto (ITA).

The Team's general ranking has been won by a supreme Texcart. Grigoletto, Bergamelli and Arfino closed the season with 48 points of advantage on the swiss Stoeckli Team, which won the race in Sestriere. Third Rossetti Produzioni with 33 points.
